Pinpoint
(This game was made in 48 hours for the GlobalGameJam2021)
A person has been kidnapped.
Your job consists in creating a map showing the locations of the principal suspects to send to the police officers in charge of the case. You'll have to set the pins in order, taking a look at what the suspects have said and the evidence the officers provided.
If you manage to correctly complete the map, their investigation can proceed and find the abductee. If you mess up, there's a chance they never find them.
Pay attention to the suspects' testimonies and compare them with the evidence to find out what they all did that morning.

how do I know the names of the places? I just see their icons, there's multiple restaurants etc so I don't know which ones to pin.
Hi Thanks for playing our game!
Usually, the name of the place is the same as the name of the street in which they are located. For example, on the first level bankside restaurant is the restaurant in Bankside street on the bottom right. Let me know if you need further help!
Thank you! Very fun game btw
after playing this a while ago, and now playing it again, i managed to get the 2nd case right on the first try, while the first time i played it, it probably took me at least 5 times to figure it out
when multiple people list their actions at the same time, how exactly am I supposed to list that?
Also, in the case of a time disparity between listed times and the receipts should we also account for travel time?
goddamit i dont want to be stupid why am i the only one who cant figure this out
Don't worry! It can be frustrating at times, but there is no need to account for the travel time! Could you put an example on where you are having trouble? Cheers!
Nevermind, the issue was that I couldn't map the Sweet-oums Store.
I ended up submitting the case file purposefully unfinished so that I could see what aspects of the timeline were incorrect.
Also, I ended up wondering about 'travel time' because the bodybuilder from the first casefile stated: "Three hours [after he had arrived at the first destination stated] ... I went to go grab a bite." It was simply that none of the available receipts corresponded to that time, with the earliest example being four hours later, during the afternoon! I guess I didn't anticipate human error like I should have!
Thanks for the advice tho!
Great game. It would be nice if you integrated a way to attach receipts to a certain person or flag them as solved already and be able to hide them.
great game! i would love to see a longer version!
Love it! Very chill soundtrack that made it easier to concentrate on the clues, as well as a great concept for a game. My only criticism would be how cluttered the receipts got and part of my time on the second case was having to keep moving them out of the way. But other than that I enjoyed connecting the dots a lot would love to see this get updated with more cases.
